SOCK CLASS         $50.00            Easy
Thursday- June 7, 14, 21, & 28 (6:00-8:00 pm)
Instructor: Marilyn Hendricks
I've had so many requests for this class, I've decided to offer it again.
This sock class is packed with knowledge and helpful tips for making great
socks using the DPN method. You will complete a pair of socks ready to wear
home. This class is very popular and fills fast. Previous students rave
about the class and can't believe how much they had learned.

To respect our instructors' schedules, we ask that our customers interested
in participating in a class stop by to get on the class list.  This gives
the instructors an opportunity to contact the students prior to the class to
check on the number of students attending and go over supplies.  You must
prepay 7 days prior to the start of your class to secure your spot as some
classes tend to fill up fast.

        A  Note  from  Marilyn
We have lots of new things in the store to tell you about...
-- New straight needles from Serendipity have designer end knobs
with chocolate kisses, sheep & bears.
--New short, double-point needles from Blue Sky Alpaca come in cute
designer tin tubes-these are great for doing sock toes and small baby
items.
--We have beautiful straight needles from Trendsetter that we've been
waiting for over a year.
--Cherry Tree Hill is our newest sock yarn and very similar to Koigu.
--"Dream in Color" is another new sock yarn-all hand dyed
and beautiful. We got their worsted weight hand dyed yarn and I plan
to make a sweater with this one... it's gorgeous and almost makes me drool!
Both the Cherry Tree Hill and Dream in Color are "superwash" yarns
(machine wash & and dryer friendly).
--Mountain Colors Weavers Wool Quarters is a new yarn for us...just in
--We also have their Twizzle that is beautiful and inspiring with rich colors.
This would be another good sweater or sock choice. Twizzle yarn is a wool-silk
blend in 250-yard skeins.
--We've got the Mountain Colors Bearfoot sock yarn and more
stuff arriving all of the time.
--Feza Yarn is going to be a hot item--we have a lot of different things coming
from them--not here as I write, so I can't tell you about anything specific.
We should have their yarn and some garment samples by the time you read
this.

            The "YARN"
Duffy was lying on his back gazing at the ceiling when Intarsia Rae finally
sat down to knit. She had been doing something horrible called "laundry"
which always involved water and well...he shuddered and tried to think about
something else...yarn was always nice, warm, soft, fluffy, never rude or
wet. "Wet?" "What in the world?" Duffy had stuffed himself into the first
available knitted item only to find out that it was completely wet and his
fur was getting soggy. Intarsia Rae was making strange screeching noises and
put down her knitting, a terrible sign in itself as she never stopped
knitting in the middle of a row. Duffy was doomed; two lives were all set to
go when suddenly two kitty treats showed up under his nose. "Tough choice
isn't it," Rae giggled. "Water? Food?" Duffy took both treats and climbed
into Rae's lap. "Let's knit something pink and dry," Rae giggled as she
picked up her knitting. The wet felted bag gets him every time.
